Bandpass filters allow the isolation of a band of wavelengths from the total spectrum without the use of dispersing elements such as prisms or gratings. These filters provide a defined spectral band of high average transmission and bands of high rejection of spectral energy on both the long wavelength and short wavelength sides of the cut-on wavelengths. Bandpass filters are applied diversely in spectral radiometry, medical diagnostics, chemical analysis, colorimetry, astronomy and a multitude of other applications where spectral isolation is required. We make thin-film bandpass filters over the spectral range of 200 nm to 16 mm with bandwidths ranging from 0.3nm to 150nm in the UV/VIS/NIR, and bandwidths from 40 nm to 4 mm in the Far IR. The majority of our bandpass filters are custom designed to meet the requirements of OEM applications. In addition to our OEM and custom products, we offer a wide variety of catalog bandpass filters that are available from inventory in standard sizes.
