The HRTM module is the first portable USB high resolution timing module on the market. It is a highly functional system incorporating high end timing functions in an easy-to-use, flexible and high performance module. Most importantly its novel timing circuitry enables a timing resolution of 66ps and is available in one, two, or four channels. The system design is optimized for use together with Newport's photon counting sensor products but it is compatible with any photon counting sensor.
The HRTM offers Time-Binning, Time-Tagging (Micro and Macro), Multi-channel Averager/Scaler, Multi Dimensional Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) and Auto/Cross Correlation functionality. Combining this functionality in a single platform together with a range of display, statistical analysis and data export tools makes the HRTM the ultimate timing module.
A user configurable memory architecture enables the capture of multiple curves in one experiment. Using the flexible interface with 16 I/O ports, these curves can be automatically mapped to memory in various configurations, allowing single point or multi-dimensional imaging. Integrated Software Environment
The HRTM module interfaces to an integrated software environment, providing a full featured graphical user interface. This GUI is compatible with all our photon counting products and gives the user an interface to multiple detector modules and variants of products simultaneously.
The software gives the user several levels of functionality, namely system monitoring, integrated counting and count data display/management. The software communicates with the module via the USB interface using a proprietary high speed protocol, continuously uploading system data and the count data for storage on the PC. Should firmware upgrades be necessary the user has the ability to upgrade via the graphical user interface. The data can also be exported using standard data formats for manipulation in other applications.
