Product Description
Volume Bragg Gratings are the ideal optical solution to stabilizing the output wavelength from a commercial laser diode. The volume Bragg grating is inserted right at the output of the laser diode. It will self-seed the laser diode and force it to lase at the center wavelength of the grating. Gratings are available for both single emitter laser diodes and laser diode bars.
Gratings are also offered in a chirped format. A chirped grating allows the end user to tune the wavelength of the grating by adjusting the location of laser beam entry. By moving the grating across the laser diode exit aperture, the ideal wavelength can be tuned into the laser diode itself. The Volume Bragg Grating, or VBRG, is ideal to use in laser diodes that are fiber coupled for wavelength stabilization.
