Safety is very important to NEWPORT. We have developed a culture that promotes an injury-free environment and provides the safest workplace possible for our employees and clients. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards for safety in the construction industry. Our goal is to promote a zero accident environment.
At the core of NEWPORT is our people. This is why providing upstanding and safe working conditions is top priority.
Through innovative training and education programs we also provide our employees and subcontractors with the tools, knowledge and resources they need to increase safety, reduce risk and improve loss control on every project we manage. Our strict rules, guidelines and working conditions are in full compliance with all OSHA standards.
The management of NEWPORT considers accident prevention an extremely important phase of operations and administration.
NEWPORT regularly holds safety seminars for our employees, in which they are provided with the most up to date information available, as well as ensuring that they are in compliance with not only external regulations, but also with our own very stringent internal policies, procedures, and expectations.
Not only do these seminars discuss workplace safety - they entail numerous additional health and safety prevention for personal lives when not working as well, such as health risk awareness, and emergency training for normal every day life.
All NEWPORT equipment is on an automated preventive maintenance schedule. This not only ensures safety for our employees, but also prevents equipment from going down on a job. This allows for clients to not experience delays on jobs due to mechanical downtime. Our maintenance team is comprised of road and home office crews, which perform around the clock service in our 4 bay 20,000 sq ft state of the art garage.
NEWPORT is well regarded in the industry for meticulously maintained equipment.
" The equipment that NEWPORT uses is always clean, running, state of the art - and thats the first thing that hits a lot of people. They see the trucks and the equipment, and they comment right away. And they feel good about us pulling up to a project. "
